Origin

R.U.M. is short for Re-Used Materials. Repurposed plastic and circular economy are key themes associated with this chair and with Wehlers' philosophy. The circular mindset is evident, among other things, in that only two materials have been used in the production of R.U.M. The plastic and steel components are assembled with bolts, making disassembly a breeze, and both materials can be recycled 100%.

Design

The design of the chair is created by C.F. Møller Design, which is an integral part of C.F. Møller Architects, one of Scandinavia’s largest architectural firms. C.F. Møller Design collaborates on the international development of innovative and significant products for people, buildings, and cities. Their, and our, vision is to improve the lives of people and the planet.

C.F. Møller Design describes the design by R.U.M. as friendly, comfortable, and practical, for use in public spaces, in companies, and in private homes. The color of the seat and back is either deep green or black, with a slight marbling effect.

Variations

Colours
We offer seats and backrests in two colours, Black and Carlsberg Green. Furthermore, the steel legs come in Black and Orange. You are naturally able to mix and match as you prefer.

Armrests
We offer the addition of armrests, making the chair more suited for longer periods of sitting. Furthermore, we offer to cover the armrest steel with a round smooth piece of recycled wood to give even more comfort and storytelling to this beautiful chair

Upholstery
Wehlers offers a range of Re-wool seats from Kvadrat. Combined with armrests R.U.M. becomes an exceptionally comfortable seating option.

Outdoor
Lastly, we offer the R.U.M. Chair as an outdoor chair, perfect for any patio or lawn. It comes in the same colour range, as the other models, however not with upholstery and currently not with armrests.
