Origin
Toftø paneling powered by a:gain is a sound-absorbing natural product built from discarded wood and offcuts from wood production. Our collaborator Norto has developed a special type of stick-glued wooden board, which consists of small remnants from regular production of boards, wooden profiles, and more. We have milled grooves in this panel so that it is at least 30% open, for good sound absorption. With this product, we have created a product that works by both reflection, diffraction, and (with the backing of sound-absorbent) absorption while giving a natural warmth and feeling. The product can be delivered fire-treated, painted, and varnished. The product is produced in Denmark and is made entirely of natural materials.

Design
The Toftø acoustic paneling will be available in several different cuts. It means that the felt can be made completely visible or hidden more or less away. However, we recommend one degree of opening of min. 28% if the felt is behind a panel.
Finishes and treatments
We currently offer two standard water-based wax finishes.
Nude gives the wood a light and classic look. If you like Douglas this is the one for you.
Black Coffee is a very dark brown, almost black finish, which still allows some grain structure to show. An intense and rich colour, perfect for a calm interior.

Material characteristics
As the elements are made of discarded wood, they will appear with many visible knots.

Sound absorption options
We offer a selection of different felt materials for sound absorption purposes.
