Valhøj School accommodates children from ages 6 to 16 and has a sports profile. The existing campus is laid out on a generous site in the outskirts of Copenhagen. Due to a huge growth in student numbers in the coming years, the school requires extension through the addition of two new buildings and a re-think of the organization.
In good dialogue with architects from Matters, a:gain presented the possibility to use the a:gain Bronsø thermo treated cladding. Design possibilities, profile options and necessity and possibility of having fire treatment of the wood were talked through. And, in good process with contractor,
Lund Tømrer, the additional information on installation was run through.
The result is beautiful.
