Origin
Dybø PET felt is produced from used plastic bottles collected in europe. It consists of 75% recycled PET and there is no waste in the production as all offcuts are recirculated back into production. Read more on how we turn waste into products here.
Documentation journey
Dybø is available in the colours; black, painted light gray, mottled anthracite gray, recycled gray, and mottled brown.
The varying patterns, that arise from the mixed input, fascinate most of our customers. We hope it draws your eye as well.

Collection:
Vast amounts of plastic bottles reach their final life cycle as a bottle. They are then discarded from the bottle circulation loop
Making the fibres:
The bottles are melted to pellets and new fibres are drawn from these
Air lay pressing:
The fibres are spun up and mixed together with a PET binder. Heat and pressing then creates the final batt
Cutting
A continuous stream of material is then cut to the desired dimensions. The batts require no further work and are ready to install
Finish
The batts need no finishing, as they come out of the production with a stiff, uniform surface
